Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us. Real Estate Commercial Investments, LLC (“RECI”) owns and operates www.HomeSweetHomeInvestments.com and associated blogs, forums, educational webinars, buying opportunity webinars, affiliated social media sites and other affiliated websites (taken together, the  "Website"). It is RECI policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating the Website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard your personal  information. By visiting the Website, you are accepting the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.  If you have questions about accessing or correcting your personal data please contact RECI at Info@HomeSweetHomeInvestments.com

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, RECI collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring  site, and the date and time of each visitor request. RECI's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how RECI's visitors use the Website. From time to time, RECI may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the Website. RECI also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We do not use such information to identify RECI visitors, however, and do not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.

Gathering Personally Indentifying Information

Certain visitors to the Website choose to interact with RECI in ways that require RECI to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that RECI gathers depends on the nature of the  interaction. For example, RECI asks visitors who sign up to receive the monthly E-newsletter to provide a first name and email address. Those who engage in transactions with RECI – by registering to join our  community of buyers for example—are asked to provide additional information, including a last name, phone number, state/region and country. Licensed real estate agents who register for RECI's Referral Network are asked to provide even more information such as company name, license type and state, street address, and managing broker's name and phone. In each case, RECI collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with RECI. In the interest of providing you extraordinary customer service, RECI may periodically invite you to voluntarily provide additional information relating to your personal "preferences" and "interests" for the purpose of getting to know you so that RECI can show you customized client appreciation to thank you for your business. We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain activities on the Website or receiving certain services from RECI.

Aggregated Statistics

RECI may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to the Websites. For instance, We may monitor the most popular links on the Website. We may display this information publicly or provide it to others.  However, RECI does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally Identifiable Information

We disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, agents, managers, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on RECI's behalf or to provide services to you, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. We will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying  information to anyone. Other than to its employees, agents, managers, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, We disclose potentially personally-identifying and  personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when RECI believs in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of RECI, third parties or the public at large. We take all measures reasonably necessary to  protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Emails

If you have supplied RECI with your email address, RECI might send you a monthly E-newsletter. We may also send you periodic special invitations to educational Webinars or private buying opportunity Webinars, and may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit  your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what's going on with us. All of RECI emails will contain an "unsubscribe" link on the bottom of them so that, at any point, if you no longer wish to receive emails from us, you may immediately unsubscribe.

Surveys and Feedback Forms

From time to time, in the interest of improving our business and serving you better, RECI may invite you to participate in a survey or feedback form about your experience with us or your experience with a particular part of our business (such as at the conclusion of an educational Webinar for example). We may aggregate non-personally identifiable information and display this information publicly or provide it to others. However,  RECI does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described above, unless you provide your express written consent for us  to do so (to publish your response as a testimonial, for example).

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. We use cookies to help us identify and track  visitors, their usage of the Website, and their Website access preferences. Website visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using RECI websites, with the drawback that certain features of RECI websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, RECI may change RECI Privacy Policy from time to time, and in RECI sole discretion. We encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Website after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

A Special Thank You

RECI would like to thank the good folks at Automattic, who have made their Privacy Policy available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license, which means that you can borrow some or all of their wording for your own Privacy Policy. That is exactly what we did.
